At the bottom of each yearly schedule I list the costs and finally the total net profit. They never fully understand the true cost of their time, or the costs involved in running the business and finding clients.
This photographer is not likely to offer beautiful frames or albums. Since they have to photograph a lot of sessions to earn enough money to live they never have enough time to provide each client with a great service. Their photography and creativity is compromised because they have to rush clients through like they’re on a production line. It’s frightening how many clients this photographer needs to scratch out any kind of living.
This system is bad for the photographer, their art and for their clients. They’re treated as a commodity and end up resenting the fact that they’re not respected for their craft. Have a look at how little this photographer makes after the costs have been factored in.
Scary huh! I used to charge these small amounts, yet still had people complain about my prices. In other words, how much money does a photographer make per year always have people complaining about the price no matter how low they are. So, don’t worry about the complaints; most people don’t value what you and I. However, some people do or will, given the right emotional prompting from you and they’re the people you need to. They’re professional, offer a good product and work hard. They have two key weaknesses: 1. They don’t know how to market their business in a way that brings them enough clients to enable them to pick and choose the best clients to work. This means their average order value isn’t as high as it could be.
They don’t have a. The figures shown here can get considerably higher as you perfect your selling, marketing, pricing and merchandising skills.
